How to Get to Karakoy Pier in Istanbul

The T1 tram line stops directly at Karakoy. From Sultanahmet (the old city), it’s just a few stops across the Galata Bridge.

Take the M2 metro to Sishane, then walk down through Galata, or use the historic Tunel funicular to reach Karakoy.

Ferries connect Karakoy to Kadikoy, Uskudar, and Eminonu — a scenic way to arrive.

Taxis and ride-hailing apps are widely available. Tell the driver “Karakoy Iskelesi” (Karakoy Pier).
